Actress Anne Heche, 53, dies after being "peacefully" removed from life support.

The story was confirmed by Heche's agent to The New York Post and Entertainment Tonight. 

 According to the spokeswoman, "Anne Heche has been gently taken off life support."

The 53-year-old actress was well-known for her parts in Another World, 

 Men in Trees, Wag the Dog, Donnie Brasco, Six Days, Seven Nights, and Volcano

 the actress was 53 when she was involved in a car accident with a California house on August 5. 

She fell into a coma and didn't get out of it.

In order to preserve her organs for donation, life support equipment kept her breathing

and heart pumping after her brain stopped working. 

 According to Access Hollywood, doctors were planning to remove and transplant some of her organs after finding matches.
