Alexis Bledel and her husband, Vincent Kartheiser, have filed for divorce.

Alexis Bledel is divorcing her husband of eight years, Vincent Kartheiser.

Kartheiser filed for divorce in Putnam County Superior Court in New York on August 10, according to court records obtained by TODAY.

Neither actor has responded to a request for comment from TODAY.

TODAY previously reported that the two first made their relationship public in 2012, when they walked a red carpet together.

In 2011, they met on the set of "Mad Men," where Kartheiser played Pete Campbell

Bledel played Beth Dawes. Their two characters in the show had an affair.
