Anne Heche is 'not expected to live,' according to her family.

According to a statement from her family and friends shared by a spokesperson,

Anne Heche, who remains hospitalised after ramming her automobile into a Los Angeles property last week, is "not expected to live."

"Unfortunately, Anne Heche sustained a serious anoxic brain injury as a result of her accident

and she is still in a coma in critical condition. She is unlikely to survive

"The statement read as follows: "She has long expressed a desire to give her organs,

and she is being kept on life support to see whether any are viable."

When the brain is deprived of oxygen, anoxic brain damage ensues.
