Batgirl Is Apparently To Get Some Secret Screenings Before Getting Locked Away
As per THR, cast and crew members who worked on Batgirl, as well as representatives and executives,
have been invited to private screenings of the movie on the Warner Bros. lot.
A source who spoke with the publication described these as "funeral screenings,"
because after being held, the footage will be kept safe in a physical or digital vault.
Batgirl, whose production is thought to have cost $90 million, is reportedly getting a tax write-off from Warner Bros. Discovery.
Warner Bros. had no trouble releasing Zack Snyder's Justice League four years after the theatrical release because Justice League was never a tax write-down.
In fact, THR has learned that Warner Bros. would even erase the Batgirl footage in order to persuade the IRS.
that it will never get revenue from the project, though other sources have disputed that this will happen.
