According to the filmmaker, Eddie Murphy was never the first option for the starring part in 'Candyman.'
In an interview about the release of a 4K version of the chiller, Bernard Rose, who created the original 1990s thriller, refuted the long-standing myth.
"That entire b******* stuff that's going around about Eddie Murphy, there's not a shred of truth to it," the 61-year-old told the NME.
