Emilia Clarke of Game of Thrones has received an apology from an Australian

TV executive who referred to her as a "dumpy girl" at the premiere of new spin-off series House Of The Dragon.

Foxtel's chief executive Patrick Delany introduced the spin-off at the season premiere in Sydney,

Australia, and admitted he was initially sceptical of Game of Thrones' success.

"I was like, 'What's this show with the short dumpy girl who walks into the flames?" Delany told the audience.
