French film pioneer Jean-Luc Godard passes away at age 91.

The late French-Swiss director Jean-Luc Godard, a pivotal participant in the

Nouvelle Vague movement that transformed cinema in the late 1950s and

1960s, has passed away at the age of 91, according to French media.

In an homage to the director, French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted
