'Naked and Afraid' star Melanie Rauscher dies at 35

On July 17, Melanie Rauscher was reportedly discovered dead while dog-sitting at a residence in Prescott, Arizona.

According to TMZ, the competitor from the Discovery Channel show had been residing in a guest room while the owners were away.

Upon returning home from vacation, the homeowners discovered that Rauscher had died

Rauscher's body was reportedly found near "several cans of compressed air," which are commonly used as computer dust cleaners.

Authorities did not specify whether Rauscher "consumed contents of the cans"

Officials said that there were no "obvious signs" of foul play.

Neither drug paraphernalia nor a suicide note was found, and the dog Rauscher was watching was reported to be "OK."

In 2013, Rauscher appeared on "Naked and Afraid," then the following year, she returned for the spinoff, "Naked and Afraid XL.”
