Vesce underwent surgery and targeted radiation therapy after being diagnosed with multiple paraganglioma, a brain-skull tumour, and a carotid body tumour in 2017.

Vesce said it wasn't easy dealing with trolls who were just as eager to be critical online, while receiving love and encouragement from her fans on social media.
