A television network has apologised after its CEO made derogatory remarks about Emilia Clarke.

During a premiere event for the new spin-off series on Wednesday (17 August)

'What's this show with the short, dumpy girl walking into the fire?'" in a speech given before the Sydney premiere of prequel House of the Dragon.
