Tom Brady has taken a leave of absence from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to deal with "personal matters."

According to Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles,

Tom Brady is taking a break from the team to "deal with personal things."

Bowles told reporters on Thursday that the 45-year-old quarterback

will not return until after the team's second preseason game on August 20.

"Tom was excused today," Bowles explained.

"He'll return sometime after Tennessee. He'll be dealing with some personal issues

"This was something we discussed prior to the start of training camp. We gave him this time because

he wanted to get in and build chemistry with the guys before going through two weeks of training camp.
