Things to know about ZuoRAT malware
A malware called ZuoRAT can be used to gain access to the devices connected to a Wi-Fi router.
Wi-Fi router is used to provide wireless internet connectivity to various devices
The malware can steal data from the connected devices, resulting in data loss
ZuoRAT malware was first discovered by Lumen Technologies
It was noticed that popular routers from Asus, Cisco, DrayTek, & Netgear was affected by the malware
Windows, macOS, & Linux devices can also be affected by the malware
It is advised to regularly reboot routers and install security updates and patches to be safe
Users are advised to use properly configured and updated EDR solutions on hosts
